My Approach
I believe research should be easy to understand, remember, and use.
When someone struggles with a product, avoids a service, or creates an unexpected workaround, I get curious.
People usually make sense once we understand their goals, constraints, relationships, and everyday lives. I help organizations build that understanding and help turn it into more confident decisons.
HOW I WORK
" Why? So What? Now What? "
This is the sequence I return to whenever I'm trying to understand a problem and help people act on it.
What is happening beneath the surface?
Understand people's goals, constraints, behaviors, and everyday context.
Why does it matter?
Connect observations to meaningful opportunities, risks, and decisions.
What should we do next?
Prioritize practical recommendations that teams can confidently act on.
THREE PRINCIPLES I RETURN TO
The habits I try to bring to every project.
Start with people.
I begin by understanding the people who will use, deliver, or be affected by a product or service.
Unexpected workarounds often reveal assumptions that no longer match reality. I look for those signals before teams invest in solutions.
Make research accessible.
I shape research so different stakeholders can quickly understand, remember, and use it.
The format changes with the audience, but the goal stays the same: help people quickly understand what matters.
Make recommendations actionable.
I prioritize recommendations that fit the team's goals, constraints, and ability to act.
I consider tradeoffs and implementation from the beginning so recommendations are realistic about what can happen next.
Every project is different, but these are the habits I keep returning to. They help me turn organizational questions into decisions people can understand, remember, and use.
